Fitness Facilities

COVID-19 Policies: Expanded Hours & Eligibility Access

The following MWR eligible patrons will be allowed access to the APG Fitness Centers on a first-come, first-served basis on the scheduled hours* listed below:

Active Duty, Retired Military, Active Duty & Retired Military Family Members and Current DoD Civilian Employees. Proof of eligibility must be presented for entrance (CAC, DoD ID Cards)

AA Fitness Center: Mon-Fri, 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
EA Fitness Center: Mon-Fri, 7 a.m. - 9 a.m.
*Important: All other hours are open to Active Duty Military ONLY.

Facility and individual room capacity restrictions, as well as equipment and user spacing will be strictly enforced. Note: 20-Minute time limits on cardio equipment if patrons are waiting.   

All COVID-19 Safety Protocols Continue: 

  • 100% Mask Wearing
  • Hand and Equipment Sanitization
  • Locker Rooms Remain Closed
  • Small Bags Optional

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Approved face mask, towels,  proper workout attire and a personal water bottle (the water fountains are turned off due to COVID).

EA Fitness Center & Hoyle Gym - Edgewood Area
  • Cardiovascular Equipment

Additional Offerings:

  • Tennis Courts - There are 7 courts available for play in the Aberdeen Area including 3 (lighted) courts in the 3300 block. 5 courts are located in the Edgewood Area; 2 in the E4100 block and 3 in the E4600 block.
  • Fitness Paths - We have 2 fitness paths in the Aberdeen Area (Plumb Point area and Fanshaw Field area) and, 1 in the Edgewood area around the Airfield.
  • Multi-Purpose Athletic Fields - Fields are located in both the Aberdeen (3300 block) and Edgewood Areas (E4100 block). Fields are lighted and are used for softball, soccer and flag football.
  • Equipment Checkout - Jump ropes, exercise bands, free weight bar clamps, etc.
General Policies

"General Policies" are currently being suspended due to stricter "COVID-19 Policies" (see above).
